Storm work is the one job where waiting costs more than the work. We cut the tree off the structure, tarp what's open, and clear access so you can get out of your own driveway. Everything is photographed before we cut, because your insurance company will want to see what it looked like.

Big removals near a structure come down piece by piece, rigged and lowered, not felled and hoped. Price depends on height, lean, what's underneath it, and whether we can get equipment close — which is exactly why we look at it before quoting.

Done right, pruning is structural work: removing deadwood, opening the canopy so wind passes through instead of pushing, and pulling limbs back off the roof and service line. Done wrong — topping — it makes a tree weaker and uglier for the rest of its life. We don't top trees.
Ground below grade, chips out, topsoil and seed if you want it.
We grind 6–10 inches below grade so you can plant grass over it, haul the chips, and backfill with topsoil on request. Utility locate is called before the grinder comes off the trailer — there's usually more buried near an old stump than people expect.
Is that tree dangerous, or does it just look rough?
A certified arborist walks the tree: root flare, decay pockets, included bark, lean and soil heave. You get a written risk assessment with a recommendation — remove, prune, cable, or leave it alone and watch it. Plenty of scary-looking trees are fine, and a few fine-looking ones aren't.
